TESDA Delists PC Operations NC II as a Promulgated Training Regulations

Here's an advisory from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) dated Wednesday, May 21, 2008.

Please be informed that during the 61st TESDA Board Meeting held last May 21, 2008, TESDA Board resolved and approved the delisting PC Operation as a national qualification and the incorporation of its core competencies in the common competencies of other relevant national qualifications as will be recommended by the concerned industry bodies/experts.

All TVET providers with registered PC Operations NC II shall be given one (1) year from effectivity of this resolution to phase out such programs.

Competency Assessment and Certification for PC Operations NC II shall likewise be phased-out with one (1) year from effectivity of the resolution. Guidelines for this transition shall be issued by the Secretariat within 60 days from effectivity of the resolution.

  1. TESDA should have given more time, one year is too short, it will be difficult for TVIs to adjust to offer new courses.
